Indian scientists discover oral cancer-causing gene in women

A team of Indian scientists have discovered the oral cancer-causing driver gene mutations in women patients of southern India. The scientists found that the CASP8 gene appears to be a unique cancer-causing (driver) mutation in women with oral cancer. The study also discovered that some cancer patients might respond better to certain treatments based on their tumour profile.
