Smartphone shipments in India, the world's second-largest smartphone market, fell 48% in the quarter ended June 2020, research firm Canalys reported. Around 17.3 million units were shipped during the quarter, compared to 33 million in the year-ago period. Canalys said that vendors faced low supply and also low demand, as retailers were barred from selling smartphones during the lockdown period.
