Indian surgeon performs Sri Lanka's first live robotic surgery
Professor Subhash Khanna, a surgeon from Assam's Guwahati, led a team in carrying out Sri Lanka's first live robotic surgery in Colombo. Nearly 65 surgeons and surgical trainees from across Sri Lanka attended the workshop led by Khanna, which also marked the country's first robot-assisted cholecystectomy. India's SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System was formally launched at the hospital.
