Indian paddler Sathiyan Gnanasekaran beat Paul McCreery of Northern Ireland to enter men's singles pre-quarterfinal at Commonwealth Games 2022. Sathiyan won with a scoreline of 11-9, 11-9, 12-10, 13-11 in the round of 32. Meanwhile, Sathiyan and mixed doubles partner Manika Batra lost in the mixed doubles quarter-final. Malaysia's Choong Javen and Lyne Karen defeated the Indian team 3-2.
