From 11 Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings in 2015 to 46 in the 2025 list, Indian universities saw a 318% rise in QS World University Rankings. The agency said India's growth is highest among G20 nations. Subsequently, PM Narendra Modi said in the last ten years, his government focused on qualitative changes in the education sector.
