Indian-American Dr Monisha Ghosh has become the first woman to be appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at US' Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and will take charge on January 13. She will advise the Commission and its Indian-American Chairman Ajit Pai on engineering and technology issues. Ghosh has been the Program Director at the National Science Foundation since 2017.
