Indian-American teen wins US' Scripps National Spelling Bee

14-year-old Indian-American boy, Karthik Nemmani, has won the 91st Scripps National Spelling Bee contest held annually in the US, becoming the 14th consecutive Indian-American champion in 11 consecutive years. The eighth-grader from Texas has been awarded a $40,000 cash prize and a trophy after correctly spelling the word 'koinonia' in the final round.
