Indian Oil Corporation said there is no overall shortage of petrol or diesel in India, calling recent fuel outages at some outlets "highly localised" and temporary. It said seasonal diesel demand during harvesting, and shifts in customer purchases led to supply pressure. IOC said petrol sales were up 14% and diesel up 18% between May 1-22, year-on-year.
