Two Indian-origin cryptocurrency investors Vignesh Sundaresan and Anand Venkateswaran have identified themselves as the mysterious buyers of Beeple's NFT art for ₹504 crore and using the pseudonyms Metakovan and Twobadour. Sundaresan said, "The point was to show Indians and people of colour that they, too, could be patrons, that crypto was an equalising power between the West and the Rest."
