India's 17-year-old Woman Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh won Tata Steel Chess India Rapid (Women) title. Divya won the competition with seven points after nine rounds. Women's chess world champion Ju Wenjun came second in the tournament. Divya was participating in the tournament for the first time. She also defeated India's number one women chess player Koneru Humpy in the first round.
