India's 19-year-old Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi defeated world number one Magnus Carlsen in the seventh round of Aimchess Rapid. This is the first time that Erigaisi defeated Carlsen in his chess career. Arjun is currently placed fifth on the tournament's points table with 15 points, having won a total of four matches so far.
