India region, which includes Bhutan and Nepal as well, had the world's highest data usage per smartphone at an average of 9.8GB per month in 2018, a report by Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson stated. The report further said that the usage will almost double to 18GB by 2024. Meanwhile, North East Asia comes second with 7.1GB per month.
