Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and NS Tomar on Friday flagged off India's first 'Kisan Rail' from Maharashtra's Devlali to Bihar's Danapur. Kisan Rail will help in transporting perishable agricultural produce like vegetables and fruits. The train with frozen containers is expected to build a seamless national cold supply chain for perishables, inclusive of fish, meat and milk, the government said.
