India's longest-serving bank CEO Aditya Puri has retired from HDFC Bank after 26 years on Monday, upon reaching 70 years of age in accordance with RBI regulations. Puri built HDFC into the country's most valuable lender with a market cap of ₹6.7 lakh crore. Sashidhar Jagdishan took over as the new CEO and MD of India's largest private sector bank.
