India's 'The Elephant Whisperers' has bagged the award for Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards. The Kartiki Gonsalves- directorial was competing against 'Haulout', 'How Do You Measure a Year?', 'The Martha Mitchell Effect' and 'Stranger At The Gate'. Director Gonsalves dedicated the award to "my motherland, India".
