India's merchandise trade deficit in March 2022 rose 35.7% YoY from $13.64 billion to $18.51 billion. While merchandise exports rose 19.76% to $42.22 billion, its imports rose 24.21% to $60.74 billion, data released by the government showed. The overall trade deficit widened to $9.91 billion in March, up 93.93% YoY from $5.11 billion in March 2021.
