India's unemployment rate fell to 7.7% in May from 8.5% in the previous month, as per data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy. This decline came as a result of a fall in the number of people entering the labour market in search of jobs, CMIE stated. The labour force reduced to 441.9 million in May, it added.
