India's unemployment rate rises to 7.83% in April, Haryana tops list: Report

The unemployment rate in India rose to 7.83% in April 2022 from 7.60% in March 2022, according to data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). The highest unemployment rate of 34.5% was recorded in Haryana. It's followed by 28.8% in Rajasthan, 21.1% in Bihar, 15.6% in Jammu & Kashmir, 15.5% in Goa and 14.6% in Tripura.
