In a proud moment for India, NPCI in partnership with Lyra has announced the acceptance of a UPI payment mechanism in France, starting with the Eiffel Tower. With this, Indian tourists can now book their visit to the Eiffel Tower by purchasing tickets using UPI. NPCI said UPI service will soon be extended to other merchants in tourism, retail sectors.
