Martial artist Vivek Teja won the Martial Arts Championships in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, to become the World Karate Champion. Teja defeated martial artists from New Zealand and England in the first and second rounds, and beat Australian taekwondo star Matthew Rose in the final to clinch the title. Teja has won over 60 medals at national and international tournaments.
