Indo-Canadian community welcomed a bill by Canadian government that makes it a crime to wilfully promote hatred against an identifiable group (based on religion) by displaying certain hate symbols in public. The bill also makes it a crime to obstruct people from accessing places of worship. This bill comes a year after pro-Khalistan protestors violently attacked Hindu temple in Brampton.
