Indonesia banned sales of Google Pixel phones, days after declaring the use of iPhone 16 illegal in the country. The decision was made because Google hasn't met regulations requiring certain smartphones sold in Indonesia to contain at least 40% locally manufactured parts. Reacting to the ban, Google stated that Pixel phones are currently not officially distributed in Indonesia.
