President Joko Widodo on Thursday said Indonesia's palm oil export ban will be lifted from May 23 following supply improvements. The export ban was imposed by the government on April 28 in order to tame soaring domestic cooking oil prices. The decision was taken considering the welfare of 17 million workers in the palm oil industry, President Widodo said.
