Indonesia's biggest tech firm GoTo announced on Friday that it is laying off about 600 employees to streamline the organisation and boost its profitability. The latest round of layoffs comes after GoTo, formed as a merger between ride-hailing startup Gojek and e-commerce startup Tokopedia, cut 1,300 jobs in November 2022. It had cited challenging global economic conditions at the time.
