Industrialist Pawan Ruia was arrested by West Bengal Police for his alleged involvement in a multi-crore cyber fraud case involving shell companies and cryptocurrency-based money laundering. Officials believe the fraud may be part of a larger racket estimated to be worth around ₹300 crore. Following the arrest in Kolkata, he was remanded in police custody for 14 days.
