German chipmaker Infineon's CEO Jochen Hanebeck has said the company is ready to spend up to a few billion euros on acquisitions. The firm is constantly "on the lookout" for suitable companies, Hanebeck said. He added that it is quite conceivable that startups that are not sufficiently well financed, for example, would want to join a corporation.
