German chipmaker Infineon Technologies plans to expand OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) and increase headcount to 5,000 by 2030 in India, Moneycontrol reported. The firm has existing OSAT ties with Kaynes and CDIL and is also open to tapping the upcoming units. It is also transferring technologies to some OSATs for developing or packaging products, a top executive said.
