INSA seeks govt support for safe passage in Hormuz Strait

INSA urged Ports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to ensure safe passage for Indian-flagged ships through the Hormuz Strait amid rising Gulf tensions. The body said 27 Indian vessels carrying crude and LPG, worth over ₹10,000 crore, are currently at risk in the region. It warned disruption could hit India's energy supplies and spike freight and insurance costs.
