According to Reuters, Netflix considered acquiring Warner Bros after it announced in June about plans to split its two publicly traded companies. Warner Bros started the auction in October after Paramount, another bidder, submitted first offer. Netflix held calls daily for last two months to prepare a bid by December 1. Warner Bros considered Netflix's bid as complete and binding.
