The Central Government has warned the 2,254 highly polluting industries in the Delhi-NCR region to install the emission monitoring systems by December 31 or face closure. Industries have also been told to install air pollution control devices by December 31, failing which action will be taken against them. This comes amid the worsening air quality in Delhi-NCR.
