Insurers have ₹15,167 cr of unclaimed policyholders' money

As much as ₹15,167 crore of policyholders' money is lying unclaimed with 23 life insurers, with state-owned LIC having the maximum unclaimed amount at ₹10,509 crore, IRDAI's data showed. Among the private insurers, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has ₹807.4 crore of unclaimed insurance claims, followed by Reliance Nippon Life Insurance at ₹696.12 crore and SBI Life Insurance at ₹678.59 crore.
