Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said the company is in talks to start producing chips for automakers amid a global chip supply shortage. The company is talking to companies, which design chips for automakers, about manufacturing those chips in Intel's factories, Gelsinger told Reuters. The company aims to produce the chips within six to nine months, the CEO added.
