Intel is reportedly planning a significant workforce reduction, potentially laying off up to 15 percent of its global workforce, with around 700 employees in Ireland's Leixlip facility facing compulsory layoffs. The company has offered voluntary severance packages, with decisions on these applications to be communicated by September 6.
