Internal jet lag may trigger depression in young people

A University of Sydney study published in the Journal of Biological Rhythms found that 23% of young people with depression show signs of 'internal jet lag' a misalignment between body clock signals like melatonin, cortisol, and body temperature. Researchers say this circadian disruption may open new ways to treat mood disorders in youth.
