16 nations join International Big Cat Alliance approved by Cabinet, headquarters to be in India

The Cabinet has approved the establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance, headquartered in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the move and called it a "major step towards conserving our majestic big cats and their habitats". As many as 16 countries, including Brazil, Nepal, Bangladesh and, Malaysia, have formally joined the alliance.
