Amid the ongoing beef ban row, the Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday asked cellular companies to ban Internet services within the state for 48 hours, starting Friday morning. A police communique said that during Eid congregations, anti-national elements might deteriorate the state's law and order situation. Reportedly, this is the longest internet ban in the Valley.
