Delhi history conceals a forgotten marvel- the ruins of Lal Kot which was the first city founded in 11th century. Anangpal II, a Tomar Rajput, initiated Delhi's legacy, constructing the Lal Kot or Red Fort. After the Chauhan conquest, it transformed into Qila Rai Pithora. The city flourished around the iconic Iron Pillar from Mathura, now at Qutb Minar.
