Investors lose ₹11 lakh crore as Sensex bleeds 1,200 points

Over ₹11 lakh crore in investor wealth was wiped out as the Sensex tanked around 1,200 points intraday on Thursday. The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies fell to ₹4,61,92,789 crore as of 2 pm. The Nifty also declined over 1% to 22,275.05. Persistent foreign fund outflows, rising crude oil prices and a weak rupee weighed on the markets.
