Nifty lost 364 points to end at 23,587.5 on Friday, declining for the fifth straight day and recording the worst week of 2024. Sensex also lost 1,176 points to close at 78,041.5. The drop this week led to investors losing roughly ₹19 lakh crore. Nestle India and Titan were the sole gainers on Sensex on Friday, while IT stocks declined.
