iPhones don't record user's voice without consent: Apple

On being questioned over user privacy by US lawmakers, Apple clarified that its iPhones do not listen to users without their permission. Apple said iPhones do not record audio while listening for the wake-up command "Hey Siri", and users need to explicitly approve microphone access. Further, all apps need to display a clear signal that they are listening, Apple added.
