IPL overtook English Premier League to become the second-most valued sporting league in terms of per match value after its media rights were sold for ₹48,390 crore. IPL's TV rights (Package A) were bagged by Star India for ₹23,575 crore, amounting to ₹57.5 crore/match. Meanwhile, Viacom18 bagged digital rights (Package B and C) for ₹23,758 crore, amounting to ₹57.9 crore/match.
