A 2021-batch IPS officer from Maharashtra cadre was booked for allegedly raping a doctor. According to the complainant, the accused befriended her on Instagram while she was pursuing MBBS and he was preparing for UPSC. The FIR said he invited her to Kerala under pretext of vacation, where he allegedly forced himself on her.
