The Kerala government on Monday appointed senior IPS officer Ravada A Chandrasekhar as the new Police Chief and DGP of the state, a government order said. Chandrasekhar will succeed Kerala's ex-DGP Shaik Darvesh Saheb who retired on Monday. Chandrasekhar is currently posted as Special Director of Intelligence Bureau. IPS H Venkatesh will be Kerala DGP until Chandrasekhar assumes charge.
