Iran has closed a French research institute over "sacrilegious" cartoons of its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei published in French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The magazine's latest edition features cartoons mocking Khamenei and other Iranian clerics sent in by readers in support of the anti-government protests in Iran. Shutting the institute is only the "first step" in response, Iran said.
