Iran defines Hormuz as 'vast operational area', days after sharing new map
Iran expanded definition of Strait of Hormuz into a "vast operational area". Widening the area described in new map shared on May 4, IRGC said strait now stretches from city of Jask in east to Siri Island in west. IRGC, On May 4, shared map which showed Hormuz stretching from Iran's Mount Mobarak in east to Qeshm Island in west.
