Iran has eliminated 98% of its highly enriched uranium stockpile and disconnected thousands of centrifuges, US officials said on Tuesday. They added that International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors were allowed to verify Iran's compliance with the nuclear deal that was signed in July 2015. Notably, sanctions against Iran were lifted after it agreed to impose curbs on its nuclear programme.
