A shocking new low: Amnesty International on Iran hanging 2 men

After Iran executed two men who were convicted of blasphemy, Amnesty International said the execution represented "a shocking new low for Iran's authorities and only furthers Iran's pariah status". The men reportedly ran dozens of social media accounts "dedicated to atheism and desecration of the sanctities". Iran has executed over 200 prisoners since the start of 2023.
