Iran is likely to sell air defence missile systems to ally Syria, Iranian state television said on Friday. This comes amid a rise in Israeli air strikes in Syria, where Tehran has maintained an alleged military presence for years now. "Syria needs to rebuild its air defence network and requires precision bombs for its fighter planes," the state broadcaster added.
