Iranian military had loaded naval mines onto vessels in Persian Gulf and was ready to mine Strait of Hormuz after Israel attacked nuclear and military sites in Iran, Reuters reported quoting two US officials. Iran's closure of Strait of Hormuz would've reportedly increased world energy prices as around one-fifth of global oil and gas shipments pass through it.
