Iran sanctions hit four India-based firms as oil falls

The US has sanctioned four India-based companies over alleged imports of Iranian petroleum products under its Operation Economic Outcast campaign. Oil prices still fell more than 3%, with Brent near $89.20, as traders saw sanctions as less disruptive than renewed military escalation. Indian equities rose, while the rupee strengthened to ₹95.41 per dollar.
